THEATRE

The Assumption
December 7-December 21, 2007
Add Review/CommentBack by riotous demand, Refraction Arts Project presents The Assumption—conceived and directed by Julia M. Smith and Sonnet Blanton (co-creators of The Philomel Project) and very, very loosely based on Hamlet—opening at the Blue Theater. The Assumption is the story of a music-worshiping, cousin-kissing, kung fu-fighting, Japanese/White Trash Royal family in a holler on the edge of nowhere. This play has been nominated for over 14 different Critics Table and B. Iden Payne Awards and was named the '#1 Arts Event of the Year' by The Austin Chronicle.
