The 2007 ArtSpark Festival, enlists teams of theatre artists and video game designers who join forces with visual artists to develop a new play or video game within an eight-week period. The creative process begins with a 'spark' -- a piece of art provided by a visual artist on the first day of the festival. According to Director, Theresa Leckbee, “Upsetting the Apple Cart is an innovative look at how the ‘Apple’ myth from the Adam and Eve story has perpetuated woman's view of herself.” Channel-surf with us through the eyes of television at how this old story continues to play out, affecting women's and men's perceptions of their roles in society.
