*Due to unforeseen circumstances, we regret to announce that we will have to cancel the concert featuring Violin Maestro Dr. L. Subramaniam that was scheduled for Saturday, September 8, 2007. Any inconvenience is regretted. Everyone who purchased a ticket will get a refund. Please contact info@icmca.org for additional details.* Not only is Dr. L. Subramaniam an exceptional violinist in the South Indian Carnatic form of classical music, he has also firmly established himself as one of the foremost composers in the realm of East-West orchestral compositions. His 'Double Concerto for Violin and Flute' combines western scales and micro intervals. His 'Spring-Rhapsody' is a homage to Bach and Baroque music. He was also the soloist in Bernardo Bertolucci's Oscar-winning 'The Last Emperor,' has created works for and played with Zubin Mehta and The New York Philharmonic, The Kirov Ballet and The Berlin Opera. We could go on and on, but you get the idea - he is no ordinary artiste, but indeed the crème de la crème of musicians.
