DANCE

The King and I
August 2-August 18, 2007
Add Review/CommentForklift Danceworks’ much loved and critically acclaimed dance theater homage to Elvis Presley will be re-mounted in August of ’07. Marking the 30th anniversary of Elvis’s death (it was August 16, 1977 if you forgot!), Forklift Danceworks will not only present three weekends of The King & I, but also will host numerous other “Elvis-inspired” events. Special Guests making a cameo Elvis appearance include Jim Swift of KXAN Channel 36 (8/2), local singer/songwriter Sara Hickman (8/9), Mayor Will Wynn (8/16), John Kelso of The Austin American Statesman (TBD).
