Steel Magnolias, written by Robert Harling and directed by Joni McClain, is coming to the Palace Theatre! This wonderful snapshot of small-town Americana has proven to be a theatrical favorite to audiences all over the country. All of us “know” at least one of the characters in this beautifully crafted show populated with a group of gossipy southern ladies in a small-town beauty parlor. The play is alternately hilarious and touching – and, in the end, deeply revealing of the strength, purposefulness, and friendship underlying the antic banter of its characters.

      I saw the show this past Saturday. I like to consider myself to be a mans man and I have to admit this play had me laughing and crying. All the actresses were great. These women had a wonderful... Expand

      I saw the show this past Saturday. I like to consider myself to be a mans man and I have to admit this play had me laughing and crying. All the actresses were great. These women had a wonderful chemistry with each other that made their characters believable and welcomed the audience into Truvy's to get to know each personally. I can't single out any of the actresses because I found them all to be halarious and adorable. Collapse

      Seen the show this past Sunday. I was impressed with the cast. With only six gals in the show you really got to know them very well. Everyone one on stage really made you feel you were at Truvy\'s... Expand

      Seen the show this past Sunday. I was impressed with the cast. With only six gals in the show you really got to know them very well. Everyone one on stage really made you feel you were at Truvy's waiting to get your hair done. Clairee was halarious and Annelle was adorable. I plan to see it again next weekend with more friends.
