Austin Shakespeare Festival's annual presentation of Shakespeare Under the Stars takes an inventive approach to some of Shakespeare's 'greatest hits' six Romeos and six Juliets in the immortal balcony scene; all of the Bard's cross-dressing women comparing notes on playing men; Jack Falstaff as Jack Bauer in a Shakespearean spin on '24'; soliloquies from Hamlet's cat and Shakespeare's dog; and much, much more.
