The award-winning Austin Shakespeare Festival will perform their acclaimed production of the bard's great comedy, “As You Like It,” in The Curtain Theater, an especially constructed replica of the original Globe Theatre built by Richard Garriott and nestled in the hills of Garriott’s West Austin estate. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see a Shakespearean production just as Shakespeare and his Elizabethan audiences would have experienced it! The play will be performed in conjunction with ASF's Shakespearean Easter Revel weekend (Elizabethan for “gala”) which includes a variety of authentic renaissance activities, performances, exhibition sword fighting, family fun, egg hunt plus delectable food and drink from Austin’s finest restaurants and merchants. he entire event is a benefit to support ongoing production costs for our award winning Austin Shakespeare Festival (ASF) company.
