From Indianapolis to Washington State, The Souls of Our Feet will be making a mark across the country after its highly successful premiere in Austin this past November! Voted 'Best of 2006' by The Austin Chronicle and fresh from a recent run-out to Houston's Jewish Community Center it seems this rhythmic sensation will have legs through next season! To standing ovations, this concert has delivered flying feet from the past to the present and by popular demand will be returning to UT's McCullough Theatre! This fast paced collection of footwork restages and pays tribute to the best of rhythm tap masterpieces from Fred Astaire & Eleanor Powell to The Nicholas Brothers as well as contemporary works of living masters. Led by the live jazz music of the Eddy Hobizal Jazz Trio and featuring international solo artists Dianne Walker and Acia Gray as well as Tapestry artist Jason Janas, this one-of-a-kind concert brings swingin’ jazz and 18 flying feet keeping time to the pulse of this wonderful and indigenous American art form; a celebration of rhythm at its best!
