THEATRE

Slaughter City
March 2-March 9, 2007
Add Review/CommentSlaughter City, a powerful play based on real-life horrors in a modern day slaughterhouse (a la The Jungle and Fast Food Nation). Inspired by events surrounding a strike at the Fischer Meat Packing plant in Louisville, KY in 1993, Slaughter City is a riveting story that examines the abusive relationships between laborer and profiteer, man and woman, black and white. It is both disturbing and fascinating. Credits: Written by Naomi Wallace and directed by Corey Atkins Performance Location: The B. Iden Payne Theatre
