    The Festival has presented the best in Latino and Indigenous cinema since 1997. This year’s 8-day Festival will bring over 100 films from more than 12 countries with screenings in theaters throughout Austin. These are some of things you have to look forward to at this year’s festival: - 8 days of programming - Approximately 100 films from more than 12 countries - Panel discussions and Director questions and answers - Annual homage to a Master Filmmaker - First annual awards gala - Parties and special events - Emergencia youth program - Introducing the inclusion of video art - National and international filmmakers and industry professionals in attendance The Cine Las Americas International Film Festival (CLAIFF) is a global event that takes place every year in Austin, drawing filmmakers from all corners of the world, film industry professionals, artists, musicians, teachers and captivates audiences with a passion for cinema. Visitors experience the vitality of Austin’s vibrant and thriving film and media community. The CLAIFF wishes to welcome all of you who will be discovering the festival for the first time, and also looks forward to seeing those who have helped build a community by returning year after year.
