Conspirare celebrates the holiday season with its critically acclaimed series, Christmas at the Carillon. Come hear what everyone has been talking about: this innovative and provocative concert series which has inspired countless listeners and sparked conversations long after the last note has sounded. Created and developed uniquely each year by Artistic Director Craig Hella Johnson, the program seamlessly connects a wide variety of musical styles with a single thread of lyrical intent. The concert has been shaped over the years by the singers and our frequent guest collaborator, Grammy winner Cynthia Clawson. This year Ms. Clawson will not be available to perform with us. The 2006 performances will feature an exciting new collaboration with renowned New Orleans vocalist John Boutte. In the genre of Nat King Cole, Marvin Gaye and Sam Cooke, John has received critical acclaim and awards including Best Male Vocalist of the year at the Best of the Beat Awards and the Big Easy Awards, and Best Latin Album by a Louisiana Artist.
