COTFG at Me Mer Mo Monday

Our committee member Melissa Seely has been hosting Me Mer Mo Mondays at The Volstead for over a year now!

Join us Monday 6/19/2017 for a very special evening with visitors from all around the country: Till by Turning, Juliana Furioso, Wooly Mar + local performers Transit and Aux Aux

6:30pm Juliana Furioso aka JMoneyFur is a sound artist, electronic musician, interactive artist, and performer. Born and raised in Washington, DC, they studied cultural studies, visual and performing arts in their undergraduate at the Evergreen State College. In recent years, they co-founded and directed a multi-functional art space in Austin, TX, the Museum of Human Achievement (MoHA). Juliana just completed an MFA in Sculpture at the Maryland Institute College of Art in May 2017.

7:30pm Till by Turning is the collective effort of Amy Cimini, Erica Dicker, Emily Manzo, and Katherine Young — four creative performers who work as composers, educators, scholars, songwriters, and improvisors. This set will include guest Henna Chou playing on Jessica Pavone's piece, 'Quotidian'

8:30pm Transit (Amanda Vaughn, Liz Perlman, and Travis Byargeon) is an Austin, TX based three-piece specializing in plant cell morphology, ambiently turbulent dreamcore, and laser ear-hair removal.

9:00 pm Aux Aux is the ambiguous solo or ensemble soundsploration project of Austin, TX resident Henna Chou.

10:00 pm Maria Pugnetti aka Wooly Mar is a Vermont based interdisciplinary artist with a varied background. Pugnetti has a Fine Arts Degree in Painting from the University of California, Santa Cruz and has worked as a freelance painter and illustrator, costume designer, video artist, light designer and creative mentor.

Tunes in between performers all night by Parham DJ.
