The Cohen New Works Festival presents antonia

antonia is a Chicana hip-hop adaptation of the Greek tragedy Antigone. This piece will incorporate four elements of hip-hop: DJing, MCs, break-dancing, and graffiti art to tell the story of Antigone through the lens of a modern Chicana woman. antonia is presented as part of the Cohen New Works Festival. The Festival, produced by The University of Texas at Austin Department of Theatre and Dance and sponsored by Broadway Bank, premieres 38 new student-made projects April 10-14, 2017.
