    In the Public Eye: New Work by Nathan “SLOKE” Nordstrom

    Austin Community College and the Rio Grande Campus Kramer Gallery are pleased to announce the upcoming exhibition of In the Public Eye: New Work by Nathan “SLOKE” Nordstrom, curated by ACC Instructor and Art Historian Erin Keever.  An Austin native and former ACC student, Nordstrom is an internationally recognized graffiti artist with a strong history of important commissions under his belt. He has both organized and appeared in several group shows, including “Emerge,” an annual spray can art show in Austin, and “Pieced Together,” the first nationwide tour of Texas spray can artists, along with local solo shows like “testsite 16.1 Nathan “SLOKE” Nordstrom FATCAPPED" at Fluent Collaborative’s testsite, and a solo show at the Emma S. Barrientos Mexican American Cultural Center, filling its Sam Z. Coronado Gallery.  He has worked with such companies as Apple, Facebook, Google, Nike, and Red Bull as well as The University of Texas at Austin, Seton Hospital with the American Heart Association.
