Halloween Dance-a-thon

Join us for a night of social dancing to all your favorite dance styles! We’ll mix it up with ballroom, Latin, country, swing, line dances, etc. We’ll include some of your favorite pop songs, with a dance beat to keep you energized. And we’ll throw in some Halloween favorites, too!.

Participants may enter as individuals or couples, and registration is $10/person. 

To compete, dancers must stay on the dance floor and dance for as long as music is playing. Once an hour, there will be a 10-minute break for participants to sit down, use the bathroom or grab a snack.

Each participant or pair will get one yellow card for an additional 5 minute break to be used once during the event, and one red card for a 15 minute break. Each participant may purchase a “Break Pack” that consists of 3 additional yellow cards for an additional $10. 

The last individual and pair still dancing at the end of the night will win the grand prize.

As this is a fundraiser, we encourage participants to take it one step further and help raise money by asking friends and family to pledge money as you dance the night away. For example, asking friends to pledge $10 for each hour you stay on the dance floor. Proceeds will go towards the DI October Fundraising Drive.

Refreshments:
During the competition, dancers will be provided with water and snacks that they can access during the break time each hour. Refreshments are free for competitors, and $5 for spectators.

Prizes:
Grand Prize- 8 class card + 1 Private Lesson
Second Place- 4 class card + 1 month free socials
Third place – 1 free class + 1 month free socials

Costumes:
While this is not required, you are more than welcome to dress up in a Halloween costume. Best costumes will stand a chance to win a door prize!
