The Dionysium Summer Show : Chaos

Chaos, we are told, rules. On August 3rd The Dionysium will explore the, well, chaotic realm of Chaos. Our venerable president of The Dionysium, L.B. Deyo, will begin the evening with a lecture about how the father of quality management, Dr. W. Edwards Deming, helped rebuild a new world order from the chaos of a crumbling empire.    
      Next, we ascend to the heavens with astronomer and  UT Professor Dr. J. Craig Wheeler to explore the universe of chaos and finally, Joshua ‘Upgrade’ Jackson will be sharing his insights on  chaos in combustion, Chaos Magick and Eris, goddess of chaos, discord and confusion.
     In the next portion of the show we present a debate on the very nature of chaos, and whether we might eventually conquer it to attain godlike powers of insight and control.
     We’ll wrap up the evening with a specially curated cartoon selected by Lucas Martell and then head on over to The Goodnight to continue the conversation over drinks!

The Dionysium is an intellectual variety show which meets the first Wednesday of every third month at the Alamo Drafthouse Village.  Drinks and discussions are enjoyed after the show at The Goodnight.
