BREAD & BUTTER
July 29th to August 20th opens its doors to artists outside of the 20-person collective in their fourth show to date. In their newly renovated self-built artist-run gallery, ICOSA proudly presents BREAD & BUTTER, a group show featuring five Austin based artists, selected by the collective. Jeana Baumgardner, Ted Carey, Sev Coursen, Ryan Cronk, and Kyle Evans will show a range of work representative of their current practice. Despite having other full time jobs, these artists maintain an active studio presence without sufficient opportunities to share their work with the general public. In a city becoming prohibitively expensive, BREAD & BUTTER celebrates the impulse to make art regardless of a guaranteed audience and imagines a scenario where art-making can be your bread and butter.
Opening July 29th from 7pm to 10pm Gallery Hours – Saturday 12pm to 5pm or by appointment
