True Athlete Games 2.4

The True Athlete Games 2.4 will be held on August 13, 2016, at the Outright Fitness & Performance facility. True Athlete Games 2.4 is the fourth and final qualifier event leading up to the 2016 True Athlete Games Championships in November.

Participants of TAG 2.4 will test their strength, speed and endurance, competing in 10 events kicking off with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Saturday morning. Athletes will have 90 minutes to complete 10 events in any order they choose. 

The events include the following: deadlift, bench press, on-command pull-ups, 1K row, banded bear crawl, bench press, broad jump, reverse overhead throw, pro-agility shuttle, and the vertical jump. Once complete, athletes will come together for the final challenge; the steel bell suicide.

TAG is the first non-sport fitness competition to use bodyweight based scoring. Each athlete’s goal will be to finish with the highest number of points with the top three male, female, masters and teams taking home prizes. Athletes with the top cumulative scores throughout the series will have an opportunity to compete for more than $3,000 in cash and other prizes at the True Athlete Games Championship on Saturday, November 12.

Spectators are encouraged to attend. Adult beverages, snacks and music will be available throughout the day. 

IMPORTANT: The True Athlete Games will begin with a weigh-in at 5pm – 8pm on Friday, August 12, 2016 at Austin Simply Fit Northwest. All athletes MUST weigh-in at this time.
