Long Center Presents: "Bob Schneider with the Tosca String Quartet"

Bob Schneider, six-time Musician of the Year at the Austin Music Awards, is charismatic and friendly as an impossibly creative performer; he banters with bandmates and heckles his audiences. Schneider launches into each song with his whole being, transporting his audiences through the dark recesses of his imagination. Schneider’s playful and raw shows sell out venues coast to coast. The singer and main songwriter on nearly 30 studio albums will be accompanied by the Tosca String Quartet. Violinists Leigh Mahoney and Tracy Seeger, along with viola-player Ames Asbell and cellist Sara Nelson, are on the cutting edge of Austin’s music scene with contemporary classical chamber music and pop music activities. The Tosca String Quartet has recorded with artists such as the Dixie Chicks, Spoon, Ray Montagne, and Bob Schneider.
