In honor of Ol’ Blue Eyes’ 100th birthday, A Marvelous Party is going Sinatra! A live jazz trio provides ample swing while a full cast of crooners takes you back to the music that made the Sultan of Swoon one of the most beloved and influential artists of the twentieth century: Fly Me to the Moon, The Way You Look Tonight, My Way and many others.
The festivities are nestled in the elegant environs of the Kindred Oaks Estate, a beautiful hill country get-away, and topped with a mouthwatering meal by Chef Vikki Bowen. Guests may also float amid colorful items up for silent auction; have their photo taken in the “Sinatra pavilion”; or toss rings to win their favorite bottle of wine. Food and drinks from the bar are included in the ticket price.
Long-time followers of the company may thrill to see performers from Penfold productions past, including Andrew Cannata, Ryan Crowder, Sarah Marie Curry, Stephanie Delk, Robert Faires, Nathan Jerkins, Jarrett King, Julie Linnard, Paige McGhee, Megan Rabuse, Elizabeth Byrd Shipsey and Haley Smith. Also, for those itching to be in the know, the evening will include the unveiling of Penfold’s 2016-17 Season and news about our soon-to-be home in downtown Round Rock, scheduled to open later this year.
Officially, the evening is a fundraiser to support Penfold’s ongoing efforts to bring professional theatre performances and education programs to north Travis and Williamson counties. And since we are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, should you elect to make a donation, you can count on a handy tax deduction, in addition to the warm fuzzy feeling of having helped a worthy cause.
