About Atelier 3-D: With over 50 years combined experience in art making and instruction, Steve Dubov and Heather Tolleson are the principals at Atelier 3-D, a sculpture school and artist studio featuring classes in a variety of sculpture materials and techniques. Located in the heart of a thriving art community, this 2000 sq. ft., air-conditioned sculpture facility boasts a foundry, kilns, tools, worktables and space suitable for creating sculpture in wood, stone, metals and all molding processes, as well as the only “hands-on” bronze casting in Austin! The modern building, in a park-like setting, is handicapped accessible with ample free and secure parking. See the schedule of classes and events at atelier3-d.com.
Insights increases the appreciation of Charles Umlauf’s work and sculpture in general through lectures from visiting artists and scholars. Usually accompanying the museum’s newest exhibition, INSIGHTS encourages the development of critical perspectives and provides deeper understanding of art. Free and open to the public. This program is partially funded by City of Austin Core Funding 2015-2016.
