Jean Eustache’s 1973 masterpiece of observational realism, still largely unavailable in the United States, was internationally acclaimed for the honest portrayal of its young protagonists in their awkward love triangle, and its sexual frankness. It has inspired generations of French filmmakers. Starring Truffaut’s “Antoine Doinel”, Jean-Pierre Léaud.
