AfS Presents: VAMPYROS LESBOS

Jesus Franco Manera, hereafter known as Jess Franco, is likely the most prolific filmmaker in the history of the cinema. He created over 200 feature films during his lifetime, sometimes as many as one per month. VAMPYROS LESBOS is among his top tem best known, and best, films. Franco's muse Soledad Miranda, who died tragically soon after filming, stars as a dark and mysterious woman who may or may not be a literal vampire in this intensely psychedelic, dreamlike film made in Istanbul in what looks like a hashish-fueled dream state.
