In "They Never Die They Just Go To Sleep One Day," Eastwood presents an exhibition of new drawings, sculptures, and installations that focus on images and forms that mirror one another, formulating equations—living tissue and dead matter, something with nothing, and the jumble of the material world forced into equivalence with the void. Eastwood encourages the tendency to compare and contrast, and through these paired images invites us to investigate varied meanings, gushing vulgarities, and curious complexities.
In Scott Gelber’s exhibition, "DOOM II: Hell on Earth," Gelber invites audiences to “kneel at the altar of The Teenage God, peer into the secret window, visit the Omega-mega-church food court, exit through the gift shop into the starless wasteland.” Gelber’s work in video, performance and sculpture combine shamanistic and spiritual imagery with the tropes of consumer culture. At 8 pm on the opening night, Gelber will launch the exhibition with a special performance.

Join us for the Grand Re-opening of MASS Gallery in our new space. Food and drinks will be provided by Tapas Bravas, Hops & Grain and Ambhar Tequila. DJ performance by Ben Aqua. Special thanks to the City of Austin Cultural Arts Division for their support.
