Director Calvin Lee Reeder joins us via Skype for a Q&A after this Austin theatrical premiere!
Beginning as a distribution company that favored physicalmedia and specialized in niche film & music combination packages, Factory 25 has emerged as one of the most important curatorial voices of newindependent American films. In an era when few distributors take risks on low-budget films by no-name directors, Factory 25 has shepherded the work of the next generation of US auteurs. This month, AFS shines a light on Factory 25 and screens three of our recent favorite films distributed by the label. This series includes: CONVENTO, THE OREGONIAN and FRANCINE.
Celebrated new director Calvin Lee Reeder combines surrealism and psychedelia to create a language of art-horror that is all his own. THE OREGONIAN (Sundance 2011) takes place in a woman’s dream-like state following a harrowing car accident.
