    Sing-It-Yourself Messiah

    Austin Civic Chorus and St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church will present the 23rd annual “Sing-It-Yourself Messiah” at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, 8134 Mesa Dr. Tickets, at $15, may be purchased online at, at the door or by calling (512) 719-3300. Audience members are encouraged to bring their own copies of Handel’s Messiah and sing along during the familiar choruses. A limited number of Messiah scores can be borrowed at the door. The audience will join Chorus Austin’s 135-voice Austin Civic Chorus, soloists and orchestra under the baton of Ryan Heller, Chorus Austin Artistic Director and Conductor. The annual Chorus Austin Silent Auction also will be held during the evening with refreshments, conversation and gift baskets filled with edible holiday treats, festive gifts and gift certificates. Proceeds from the auction benefit Chorus Austin’s projects.
