Patty Larkin has been redefining the boundaries of folk-urban pop music for 25 years with her inventive guitar wizardry and uncompromising vocals and lyrics. Acoustic Guitar hails her “soundscape experiments” while Rolling Stone praises her “evocative and subtle sonic shading.” In 2010, she celebrated a quarter of a century of music making with 25--a recording of 25 love songs in collaboration with the likes of Shawn Colvin, Suzanne Vega, Mary Chapin Carpenter and others. 25 is her first project since her NY Times critics choice Watch The Sky and ground-breaking La Guitara. Singer/songwriter Steve Forbert made his mark in 1980 with the Billboard hit Romeo’s Tune: an upbeat song with timeless lyrics sweetened by a poetic sensibility, which has since become Steve’s signature style. Forbert’s intimate verbal imagery, paired with a roots-rocking musical approach, struck a chord with millions of people during the transitional period between ‘70s folk-rock and ‘80s New Wave. Steve has further honed his skills as a songwriter and performer and continued to blend folk, rock and country into his unique American sound, and has released a series of critically-acclaimed recordings, his most recent The Place and the Time.
