He is a top prize winner of 12 international competitions. He has recently returned from concert tours in Mexico, Croatia and Slovenia.

Critics are unanimous in praise for Isaac Bustos' playing:

“Bustos’ dazzling interpretation of Scarlatti was a delight, performed with passionate intensity and exquisite attention to both the beauty of individual lines and the clarity of contrapuntal design.” – San Francisco Classical Voice

“Soulful and virtually flawless” - The Portland Oregonian.

This concert is a benefit in behalf of the "The Young Performing Artist Program" which is a local non-profit project that trains, mentors and provides performance opportunities for aspiring pre-college performers. Begun in 2011, the young guitarists involved in the program have performed for audiences from Austin to St. Louis. The Young Performing Artist critically acclaimed chamber group, "Austin Bella Corda", will also perform at this benefit concert. Artistic Director of the Young Performing Artist Program, Kevin Taylor, says, “Isaac is a rising star on the international musical scene. He is one hot-shot guitarist and a true artist of the instrument! We are extremely proud to bring him to Austin. His generous performance demonstrates his devotion to education and the development of our future artists.”
