    ¡Ay, Carmela!

Based on the play by Jose Snachis Sinisterra.  Carmela and Paulino are vaudeville artists who entertain the Republican fighters during the Spanish Civil War, traveling the was front along with Gustavete, a traumatized young boy.  When they decide to travel to Valencia, it is not long before they fall prisoners to Franco's Nationalist Army.  There, the performers will be forced to be part of a show to entertain the elite of the Nationalist troops, and will have to decide whether they are willing to compromise their ideals in order to save their lives.

    Las 13 Rosas/ The 13 Roses

The true story of a group of young women, some of them minors who converge in the galleries of a detention center under the totalitarian regime newly installed by General Francisco Franco and the Nationalist party at the end of the Spanish Civil War.  Coming from different backgrounds and accused of crimes against the regime, the women share their last days of life with hope and conviction for their ideals before facing a summary trial, even when General Franco has promised that "only those with blood on their hands" will be prosecuted.
