All proceeds from Music for the Soul will fund Kids in a New Groove’s life-changing music mentorship program for Texas foster youth, where students take weekly private lessons and earn new instruments. Franti and his band will be welcome guests in Austin, where they have performed their inspiring blend of hip hop, funk, reggae, jazz, folk and rock before crowds at Austin City Limit’s Music Festival, in addition to shows at the Erwin Center, Stubbs and Moody Theatre. World famous spin master DJ Chicken George will kick off the VIP portion of the night at the Kodosky Lounge in the Long Center, where all VIPs will enjoy a casual dinner, premium cocktails all night, and advanced premium concert seating. General admission and VIP tickets go on sale Friday July 20, 2012 at www.thelongcenter.org.
