     The only thing most crime fiction fans love as much as books is drinking, so it only makes sense that someone would combine both. Started in Philadelphia a few years, Noir At The Bar has made its way across the country from St, Louis to LA. MysteryPeople hosted the first ever Noir At The Bar in Austin, and we're excited to do it again at Opal Divine's.

    Michael Koryta is the author of seven previous novels, including Envy the Night, which won the Los Angeles Times Book Prize for best mystery/thriller, and the Lincoln Perry series, which has earned nominations for the Edgar, Shamus, and Quill awards and won the Great Lakes Book Award. His work has been translated into twenty languages. A former private investigator and newspaper reporter, Koryta lives in Bloomington, Indiana, and St. Petersburg, Florida.

    So come out to Opal's (700 West 6th St.) at 7PM and help us with our new tradition - Austin's Noir at the Bar.
