    Visit artist Adrian Arleo will be holding a two-day workshop followed by a free lecture on ceramic arts.

    A studio artist living in Lolo, Montana, Adrian Arleo studied Art and Anthropology at Pitzer College (B.A. in 1979) and received her MFA in ceramics from Rhode Island School of Design in 1986. Her sculpture is exhibited nationally and internationally and is in numerous public and private collections, including The World Ceramic Exposition Foundation, Icheon, Korea, The Museum of Arts and Sciences, Macon, Georgia, The Racine Museum of Fine Arts, Racine, WI, Yellowstone Art Museum, Billings, MT, Microsoft, Seattle, WA, and Harborview Medical Center, Seattle, WA.

    Past acccomplishments include 2nd place and recognition awards from the Virgina A. Groot Foundation, and a Montana Arts Council Individual Fellowship. Features in recent publications include Ceramics Monthly Magazine, Western Art and Architecture, American Craft Magazine, 500 Animals in Clay (book), The Figure in Clay (book), Contemporary Sculpting Techniques by Master Artists (book), and Ceramics: Art and Perception, magazine issue # 62, 2005.

    The two-day workshop will take place at the Art School at the Laguna Gloria (Studio 6), and the free lecture will be held at the Jones Center at the Arthouse Community Room on Congress Avenue.
