JOIN THE AUSTIN CHRONICLE, BOOK PEOPLE, AND 93.3 KGSR FOR THE TWENTIETH ANNUAL SHORT STORY CONTEST RECEPTION
Winners to be announced on Wednesday, February 8 at BookPeople at 7pm
The winners of the Twentieth Annual Austin Chronicle Short Story contest will be announced at BookPeople at 7pm on Wednesday, February 8. You’re invited to hear the first-, second-, and third- place winners read their short stories at the special reception. Honorable mentions will also be announced. Refreshments and light hors d’ oeuvres will be served.
In 2011, almost 600 people submitted their short story for consideration, and five people will be recognized for their work. All the manuscripts submitted were the original work of the contestant and have never before been published. The first-place winner’s story will be published in the February 10, 2012 issue of The Austin Chronicle.
Special Thanks to the 2011/2012 Short Story Contest Judges: Mandy Brooks, David E. Hilton, Michael Hoinski, and Kari Ann Holt.
1st Place - $800
2nd Place - $350
3rd Place - $250
Honorable Mentions (2) to receive $50 gift certificate to Book People.
