ADULT PROGRAMMING
FALL 2011
Button Accordion
for Beginners
Class instrument provided!
November 14 - December 22
Mondays & Thursdays, 6.30-7.15pm
$110- 6 week session
(There will be no class on 11/24)
Join musician Susan Torres as she teaches the basics of the button accordion. The button accordion is used in a variety of genres, such as Conjunto, Tejano, Cumbia, and more. Learn the break down of song components, and practice techniques which will advance your playing.
No prior musical experience is required!
Class instrument is provided along with a studio card that grants students to practice on a weekly basis for an hour at the MACC.
Yoga in Spanish
November 15 - December 20
Tuesdays, 6-7 pm
$30- 6 week session / $6 Drops-ins
¡Yoga en Español! Come and explore yoga in the language that fully embodies the qualities of yoga both heart felt and expressive. Open to Spanish speakers and anyone interested in experiencing the Spanish language in this exciting and kinesthetic way!
Mats and towels not provided.
Acrylic Painting
Level Two
December 3, 10, 17
Saturdays, 11am -1pm
$45 (Includes 3-week session and materials)
Take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to enhance your painting abilities as you learn mid-level techniques from renowned artist, Fidencio Duran. This session is composed of three weeks where students will participate in exercises to strengthen their current acrylic painting skills, which will be applied to the genres of: still life, portraiture, and landscape. This class includes all materials!
