FlashDance, but Flashier: 30 MORE Dances in 60 Minutes!
Five years ago, Kathy Dunn Hamrick Dance Company premiered FlashDance: 30 Dances in 60 Minutes. Audiences and critics, alike, praised the dance for its whimsical choreography and impeccable performances. Besides that, it was just plain fun as the dancers set a kitchen timer and cleverly counted off the dances until exactly 60 minutes, and 30 dances, had passed.

This year, the company premieres "FlashDance, but Flashier: 30 More Dances in 60 Minutes" and utilizes even more imagination, more technology, more color, more dancing and more music for an even more thrilling experience.

"FlashDance, but Flashier: 30 MORE Dances in 60 Minutes" is a fabulous hour-long dance--athletic, expressive, full of quirky and surprising moments--which will leave you wishing it lasted longer.

About Kathy Dunn Hamrick Dance Company
Since its founding in 1999, KDH Dance Company (Austin, TX) has presented contemporary dances that illuminate everyday encounters, using both substance and wit to transform the mundane into the meaningful. The work is shaped by personal experiences that inspire odd and amazing connections to the people around us and remind us that what we do matters. Audiences and critics alike applaud the choreography for its combined athleticism and expression, and, quite often, for its wit and humor. The dances are musical, thoughtfully composed and adroitly executed, while collaborations with composers, visual artists, musicians and filmmakers add a colorful and dynamic richness.

KDH Dance has accumulated numerous awards and recognitions including Outstanding Dance Concert by the Austin Critics Table, several nominations for Best Dancer, Best Choreographer, Best Original Score and Best Dance Concert, and invitations to perform and teach at dance festivals, conferences, residencies and other events.
