This spazzed out tribute to the blaxploitation movie era just might be the most manic banana-peel-to-the-nuts in Hollywood history. An urban hero rises to greatness amidst gun-toting dwarves, seductive amputees, goldfish pimp heels and gender-indeterminate stunt mothers. The film features an incredible cast including Isaac Hayes, Jim Brown, Antonio Fargas, Bernie Casey, and boasts the single funniest two minutes of Chris Rock you’ll ever witness. I’m not sure what legendary detective Shaft would say if he watched this movie, but I bet it would include a swear word.
A full-tilt collision of afros, kung fu, ‘70s fashion and AIRPLANE-style brain-rabies, this major accomplishment in the funnybone-breaking arts makes you wish that Leslie Nielsen was born black. It may be hard to believe that the creative forces behind SCARY MOVIE and WHITE CHICKS were responsible for one of the greatest comedies of the ‘80s, but even Hitler painted some pretty pictures before he got into politics. ZZANG!!!
