 A touching and hilarious 'tell-it-like-it-is' look at the lives of a group of female friends, GIRLS NIGHT: THE MUSICAL promises to have audiences around the country laughing, crying and dancing in the aisles! Follow five friends as they re-live their past, celebrate their present and look to the future on a wild and hilarious karaoke night out ... and you'll recognize every one of them!
Carol who was born to party, blunt Anita who says it like it is, Liza and her 'issues', boring Kate the great designated driver and Sharon, the not-so-angelic angel who just couldn't resist tagging along! GIRLS NIGHT is bursting with energy and is packed with hits "Lady Marmalade," "It's Raining Men," "Man, I Feel Like a Woman," "I Will Survive," "We Are Family" and many more, so grab the girls and get ready to party!

      But, that was one of the numbers. Girls Night: The Musical had some great songs including Cry Me a River, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, Lady Marmalade, We Are Family, etc. The all female cast did an excellent job, but the production/story was weak/a bit silly/not my cup of tea. However, looking around at other audience members, it was apparently someones' cup of tea. The audience was probably 99.75% female and 66% over the age of 55. They appeared to love it. Collapse

      The show will have you laughing, dancing in your seat, dancing in the aisles; it is rowdy, boisterous...it's like a night out with your girlfriends, reliving your past, present and future at a Karaoke Bar and just letting it all hang out and more. It's AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION which makes it even more exciting. The songs are from the 70's, 80's and 90's and their voices or beautiful. Collapse

      Girls Night: The Musical at the Long Center showcased five friends going out to celebrate the engagement of their friend’s daughter. The audience was nearly all women (only a few men seated here and there) with ages ranging from teens to 70’s. Plenty of feather boas and tacky tiaras purchased in the lobby adorned groups as they came to party. The music was belted out by the performers, all with great vocal ability, while the back story was woven in between songs. After 20+ years as friends, these women still had many secrets – some of which were revealed as they partied the night away. If you wanted to relive the songs from the 80s, attend an out-of-control party with props, and sing with the girls – then this was the show for you. Collapse

      ...as one of only a few roosters surrounded by hens, I was uncomfortable to say the least. My date said it wasn't her cup of tea either. HOWEVER, the cast works hard and they do the best anyone can... Expand

      ...as one of only a few roosters surrounded by hens, I was uncomfortable to say the least. My date said it wasn't her cup of tea either. HOWEVER, the cast works hard and they do the best anyone can with the material. Someone once said "If life is a cabaret, karaoke is death" and I have to agree. But there were many, many groups of ladies having their "night out" and they seemed to be having a blast, so if you're a lady who enjoys a night out with your gal pals, you'd possibly enjoy this romp through the hits of the eighties. A group ahead of us were in their 70s or so and they had a great time. And again, the cast is good: They have great pipes, funny characters, and some good one-liners. They have a good time with it and have the house jumping to the hits. I dislike that cliche "It is what it is" but it applies here. If bachelorette parties are fun for you, by all means go and you will have a blast. Collapse
