 In its remarkable 7th year, Peter White Christmas’ always upbeat, fun and entertaining show returns to One World Theatre. This year eight time Grammy Award nominee Jazz saxophonist, Kirk Whalum, has been invited to spice up the holiday season with Peter White and Mindi Abair. With a stellar solo career including his breatkthrough album For You that spent nearly two years at the top of the Billboard Contemporary Jazz Chart, Whalum has also recorded with legends Al Jarreau, Barbra Streisand and Quincy Jones. Whalum was also featured on Whitney Houston’s unforgettable recording “I Will Always Love You” on the soundtrack of the hit feature film The Bodyguard.

Saxophonist/Singer/Songwriter, Mindi Abair, has not only set sonic trends but has broken all the boundaries as she continues to define the less traditional future of jazz. Abair has five successful major label solo releases to her credit, including her album, In Hi Fi Stereo, which debuted at #2 on the Billboard Contemporary Jazz chart. Abair’s own brand of ‘pop and soul meets jazz’ adds a refreshingly unique voice to an exciting new generation of crossover artists.

For nearly two decades, Peter White has maintained a reputation as one of the most versatile and prolific acoustic guitarists on the contemporary jazz landscape. Armed with an unparalleled combination of lyricism and energy, he combines elements of jazz, pop and classical guitar to create a sound that is singular at at the same time accessible to a broad audience.
