After many years of touring solo and acoustically worldwide, Steve Earle will be touring in support of his new album, I’ll Never Get Out of this World Alive, with his electric live band, The Dukes (and Duchesses) featuring Allison Moorer.
The album is the anticipated follow up to the Grammy Award winning 2009 release Townes. Produced by T Bone Burnett, the album is Earle’s first collection of original material since his 2007 Grammy Award winning, Washington Square Serenade. His version of the Hank Williams song, the last single released during his lifetime in December 1952, I’ll Never Get Out Of This World Alive, is the title of both Earle’s new studio album and his debut novel. The album also includes the Grammy and Emmy Award Nominated song “This City,” featuring horn arrangements by Allen Toussaint & written for the HBO Original Series, Treme, which Earle also appears in as an actor. Other highlights include the ballad “Every Part of Me” and “Heaven or Hell,” a duet with Earle’s wife, the critically acclaimed singer-songwriter Allison Moorer.
