Chesapeake is Lee Blessing's hilarious one-man play about a performance artist who is reincarnated as the dog of his worst enemy, a southern right wing congressman. It's a smart, warm-hearted, uproarious comedy about art, revenge, obsession and eternity.

Don't miss this gem of a play

Blessings monologue, first performed in 1999, has not lost any of it's timeliness. It is a tour de force for any actor; but Charles Stites, a veteran of the Austin stage, is delivering an outstanding... Expand

A wonderful play. A great story, script and top shelf acting. Charles Stites does a fabulous job - you can envision the story in technicolor. The best acting I have seen in Austin. Do yourself a... Expand

This play was engaging and funny, and was a tour de force by the performer, who is perhaps the best actor I have seen in Austin. He did an incredibly convincing job, through voice, glance, and... Expand

One-man shows are not particularly easy to pull off- especially not in a way to make the story engaging to the audience. But Charles Stites, an Austin theatre veteran, does just that in his... Expand
