The lecture will cover the thriving art scene in San Antonio that was fostered by the San Antonio Art League, the Witte Museum, the San Antonio Art Institute, and the WPA. The lecture will also highlight the Witte's connection to José Arpa, Xavier Gonzalez, and Ethel Wilson Harris.
Amy Fulkerson is the Curator of Collections at the Witte Museum. For the last fourteen years she has worked with the Witte's diverse collections including its renowned collection of Early Texas Art.
