Damian Hevia’s, “Absinthe Visions” Photographic Exhibit is Extended at Peche Restaurant and Bar, Austin, Texas

Damian Hevia’s “Absinthe Visions”, photographic exhibit is extended at Austin’s first absinthe bar, Rob Pate’s Peche’s Restaurant and Bar. (http://www.dhevia.com) You are all invited to view the collection while enjoying a specially crafted cocktail with an appetizer or meal masterfully prepared by Chef Jason Dodge, (http://www.pecheaustin.com).

Damian is a very talented, world renowned photographer, acclaimed musician and absinthe aficionado from Houston, Texas. “My thirst for absinthe knowledge began with my artist-father's stories of hanging out with Hemingway in Havana's heyday. This journey led me through the misinformation cloud surrounding absinthe and into the clarity of truth”. Damian traveled to Pontarlier, France and Val de Travers, Switzerland and learned from respected absintheurs about absinthe’s widely misunderstood history, how it is made, and the truth’s that dispel the myths surrounding absinthe. The stories of the artists and writers of The Impressionist Movement continue to provide great inspiration for his on-going series of absinthe related photography. Damian applies his imagination and technical expertise in the creation of avant garde images that mystify the beholder by stimulating both their curiosity and enthusiasm about the mysterious aperitif, absinthe.
