After a hugely successful premiere in September, the Long Center for the
Performing Arts has scheduled a repeat performance of THE INTERGALACTIC NEMESIS Live-
Action Graphic Novel in Dell Hall for one night only on January 8, 2011.

Austin’s favorite sci-fi radio thriller comes to life in an entirely new form! Three actors once again portray a variety of characters as sludge-monsters from the Planet Zygon invade the earth. Only this time, their adventures are accompanied by more 1200 drawings by graphic wizard Tim Doyle, projected on the Long Center’s huge screen and accompanied by Graham Reynolds’ original score. Keeping Austin weirdly wonderful!

      Experience an original comic book story come to life with huge cartoons projected on the screen, live actors speaking the various parts, and the sound effects man using household items--and add a deaf interpreter signing the drama. Well, Austin you did it again--invented a new combo of artists and story for fun, folly, and awe. What an incubator for creative concoctions our city is, and played out by the best illustrators, voices, sound effects. It was a real treat to be at the Longs Center with 2,000 others from grandparents to school kids. Great family fun. Kudus to everyone! The show is going on the road and will show the Midwest how whimsical and outrageous their Southern neighbor is! Collapse
