Dystheatre presents the world's greatest production of The Duck Variations, a play by David Mamet, and featuring the B. Iden Payne award-winning improv troupe, Confidence Men: Improvised Mamet
The Duck Variations is about two old men sitting at a park talking about ducks and life and death, and this uniquely exciting production brings together an amazing mixed cast of men and women, young and much less young.
Not only is the cast stellar, and the play easily Mamet's funniest, but Dystheatre promises to outdo every production of The Duck Variations ever presented, from New Yor k to Chicago to London. If you see David Mamet, you can tell him we said that, because we've got the walk to back the talk. We almost feel sorry for Mr Mamet, because he probably won't get to see the single greatest production of his own play ever produced*: at Hyde Park Theatre in Austin, Texas on December 3, 2010.
This is a ONE NIGHT ONLY special event, and proceeds will help raise funds for Dystheatre's 2011 production of Sam Shepard's True West.
