Kathy Dunn Hamrick Dance Company, Austin’s modern dance company known for dazzling audiences and critics alike who describe her work as “strikingly athletic and wonderfully expressive,” now takes a deeper look at what it truly means to be heard in Here.Me.Now. The production aims to pull audiences away from the digital world and bring them into the present to reconnect as the first evening-length production in their 12th season.

Each year, KDH Dance Company debuts a new season of dance works, and Here.Me.Now. continues to break through traditional movement patterns and explores Hamrick’s inspirations from personal revelations to the nearly-universal and paradoxical disconnection of modern life. The production is a collaboration of the nine dancers’ choreography along with Hamrick’s so everyone could let their voice be heard. Hamrick hopes these messages resonate with her audiences, inspiring them to trade in screen time for face time to really connect with the people in their lives.

People all over the world share one thing: We want to be heard. Here.Me.Now. A new evening-length work set to the hauntingly beautiful music of Balmorhea.
