Art in Public Places is pleased to present a new, hands-on digital imaging workshop at the Dougherty Arts Center Media Lab.

The classes will take place as a 2-part series, and will be offered on either Thursday afternoons 1-4 p.m. (October 21 and October 28), OR Saturday afternoons 1-4 p.m. (October 23 and October 30). Registrants will need to choose to take the Thursday series or the Saturday series, not one of both.

Artists will learn skills on DAC's new PC computers, using Photoshop 6. All knowledge will apply to newer versions of Photoshop and will include instruction on: creating images, cropping pictures, color correction, editing photos and scans, re-sizing for web or print, resolution, text, shape and brush tools, clone stamping, and more. The class curriculum outline contains specific content that will be covered.

Instructor: Stephen Connor is an artist with a BFA from Pratt Institute in Painting, an experienced art director and designer, and teaches digital media at various locations in Austin.

The fee is $25, which includes 6 hours of hands-on instruction and take-home guides.
