Austin Playhouse proudly opens their King Theatre Season with Jeffrey Hatcher's Three Viewings.

Meet Emil, a mild-mannered undertaker secretly in love with a real estate agent who attends all his funerals; Mac, a drifter who makes her living stealing jewelry from corpses; and Virginia, the widow of a wheeler-dealer contractor who discovers just how her husband Ed has been doing business. Rich characters, surprising twists, and a darkly comic tone connect these three tales set in a small town funeral parlor.

Three Viewings features Hans Venable (The Dead Presidents' Club) as Emil, Cyndi Williams (Picasso at the Lapin Agile) as Virginia, and Jenny Gravenstein (The Turn of the Screw) as Mac. Three Viewings will be directed by Ben Wolfe.

All three stories in this play were great (although I think the second was my favorite). All were very engaging, with a good dose of dark humor. I highly recommend seeing this.
