    Beginners & Beyond

    Join in the fun and learn all about hand building with clay! Explore the different possibilities of clay using pinch, coil and slab methods. Students will also learn how to make their pottery come alive with different types of surface design, glazing techniques as well as transfer methods. All skill levels are welcome
    Class held in Clay Studio. Limit 12 students.

    Beginning Throwing
    Ryan McKerley
    Anyone can learn how to throw on the wheel. Every student will be successful using one of multiple throwing techniques taught in this class. Dry throwing is an easy to learn technique that will familiarize the beginner with the wheel. Students will then move on to the basics of centering, opening, pulling and shaping. There are many different ways to throw; we will find one that works for you. All skill levels are welcome, advanced students are invited to work on refining and improving their skills.
    Class held in Clay Studio. Limit 12 students.

    Between Form & Function
    John Vela
    This class is designed for new students that are interested in experiencing all the different ways to work with clay and is also appropriate for the more experienced clay artist. Explore centering, pulling and shaping clay on the potters wheel or try different hand building techniques for sculpting your clay such as slab, pinch or coil. Glazing and basic surface design will also be taught to complete your work.
