Salon Concerts is Chamber Music
* in private homes, the intimate setting for which it was intended
* outreach with coaching public school ensembles
* appreciation and education with free public concerts
Salon Concerts celebrates its 21st season subscription concerts with the “high-octane” Aeolus Quartet, an evening of adventurous pairings with tuba and oboe, original compositions by our Artistic Director Kathryn Mishell, and 200th birthday commemorations of Franz Liszt and Robert Schumann.
* Nadia Boulanger, arr. Hersey: Trois Pieces, tuba and piano
* Camille Saint-Saëns: Sonata for Oboe and Piano Op. 166.
* Franz Schubert: Arpeggione Sonata for viola and piano
* Fanny Mendelssohn Hensel, Clara Schumann, Alma Mahler: Three Romantic Lieder (arr. tuba)
* Elizabeth Raum: Romance for Tuba
* Charles Martin Loeffler (150th birthday): Two Rhapsodies for Oboe, Viola, and Piano
* Kathryn Mishell (70th birthday): Soupçon for Oboe, Viola, Tuba and Piano

Individual tickets for each concert are $40 ($10 to $20 for students).
