Using commonly available as well as found and reclaimed materials such as cardboard, wood and Styrofoam, Schatz’s work, which has been included in Arthouse At the Jones Center’s New American Talent, the Austin Museum of Art’s 22 To Watch, explores ideas around the impact of urban sprawl and our ever-expanding suburban worlds.
